The challenge process gives Illinoisians an opportunity to correct inaccuracies in the state's broadband map so it reflects the most up-to-date broadband access across the state. Visit https://bead.connectednation.org/illinois/ to view broadband availability of locations of interest, and select locations to challenge in the portal.

Eligible Users:

Per federal guidelines, Illinois may only accept challenges from the following eligible entities:

• Units of local and tribal government
• Non-profit organizations
• Internet service providers

Individuals can participate in the challenge process outside of this portal, in two ways:

• Option 1: By documenting the speeds subscribed to, and then visiting https://BEADchallenge.org, taking three speed tests over three separate days, and submitting their information.
• Option 2: By coordinating with a local non-profit or government entity registered for the Challenge Process.
